Shark.

#1 Post by fishinmidget »

I am thinking of trying for a shark(blue of porbegale) off ballyreen(shore) next summer.

Do you think it would be possible?

What tackle would need?

Have you heard of anyone else succeding at this?

P.S. Please do not post "it would pull you in midget" or anything like that because i have heard it all before.

sharks from clare

#6 Post by brendan »

hi fishing midget this might help you. i saw you had been fishing from black head so if you moved oo down the coast just outside lahinch there is a place called green island and over the years there has been porbeagle sharks caught here. its a generally good place to fish. mind there was a dolphin making fishing harder here this year. shark fishing is usually floating flapper baits generally mackeral with a slice taken out removing the spine up the lenght of the fish. you will also need to slick the water with blood(rubby dubby). this is chopped up mackeral mixed with meal packed into a holey bag(onoin sack) and kept just at the level of the rising and falling wave
