whats this fish?
caught this fish this evening while fishing for wrasse at portally cove waterford.checked up books the closest thing to it is a tadpole-fish,but i dont think it is that.sorry pic a bit blurry.it had a red eye four big k9 teeth and black in colour.ill post pic on personal gallery

Doesn't look like a tadpole fish ,i've caught a few ,looks more like a blenny of some sort ,pity the pics weren't a bit clearer .
tadpole fish tend to be smooth skinned big flat broad head and dark brown/black and white mouth .check the fish id on start page think there's a link to old gallery with a pic i posted of tadpole fish .

that looks like it was darker and more red eye, but that id say its it thanks lads.new spices to add to the list

def not a yarrels or tompot blenny ,read up a bit and looks like a shanny(as opposed to blenny) in breeding colours ,nasty wee buggers can give you a nasty nip for all the size of them
