whats this fish?

caught this fish this evening while fishing for wrasse at portally cove waterford.checked up books the closest thing to it is a tadpole-fish,but i dont think it is that.sorry pic a bit blurry.it had a red eye four big k9 teeth and black in colour.ill post pic on personal gallery :? :? :? .[/img]

Doesn't look like a tadpole fish ,i've caught a few ,looks more like a blenny of some sort ,pity the pics weren't a bit clearer .
tadpole fish tend to be smooth skinned big flat broad head and dark brown/black and white mouth .check the fish id on start page think there's a link to old gallery with a pic i posted of tadpole fish .

The one pictured is lighter in colour but they can be dark like your catch.

that looks like it was darker and more red eye, but that id say its it thanks lads.new spices to add to the list :D :D .

def not a yarrels or tompot blenny ,read up a bit and looks like a shanny(as opposed to blenny) in breeding colours ,nasty wee buggers can give you a nasty nip for all the size of them :lol:
