People:Me,Richie and Jim
Duration:27th 4.5 hours 29th 2.5 hours
Tide:Rising
Weather:Like Summer
Bait:Soft Plastics
Rigs:Wave Worms,Illex soft Plastics
Results: Me 1 Bass,1 Wrasse
Report:With the weather being so good and the temperatures rising decided to try for a few bass on lures. Got to the mark and there was a good surf but an easterly wind water clarity was very good. Nothing for the first few hours but with the weather so good decided to keep going moved to a different area and changed lure to an Illex shad and soon hit into a nice bass.
On the 29th decided to try the same mark but with the light winds and a lack of surf decided bass would be difficult so went to a deep water area to try for wrasse water clarity was even better than last day landed one wrasse on a wave worm Black/Silver. Great two days fishing both fish were returned after photos.

Re: East Cork Bass and Wrasse 27th and 29th March 2012
i'd never heard of wrasse getting caught on lures until last year
it still amazes me
good to see them showing up again, cant wait for the summer wrasse bashing sessions to commence
