East Cork Bass and Wrasse 27th and 29th March 2012

#1 Post by willhands »

People:Me,Richie and Jim

Duration:27th 4.5 hours 29th 2.5 hours

Tide:Rising

Weather:Like Summer

Bait:Soft Plastics

Rigs:Wave Worms,Illex soft Plastics

Results: Me 1 Bass,1 Wrasse

Report:With the weather being so good and the temperatures rising decided to try for a few bass on lures. Got to the mark and there was a good surf but an easterly wind water clarity was very good. Nothing for the first few hours but with the weather so good decided to keep going moved to a different area and changed lure to an Illex shad and soon hit into a nice bass.

On the 29th decided to try the same mark but with the light winds and a lack of surf decided bass would be difficult so went to a deep water area to try for wrasse water clarity was even better than last day landed one wrasse on a wave worm Black/Silver. Great two days fishing both fish were returned after photos.
