Cork - Lure fishing - Friday 13th
Had a nice day out on Friday.
Plenty pollack on the offshore reefs.... size not huge.
Lots of codling inshore with a few bigger fish amongst.
All told it was great to get out.

Great day out.
Are the Bellavista boats available to rent all year round now seeing they are in the Marina?

You've really caught the film bug bad Jim! I heard a rumour that you've ordered a clapboard and directors chair on e-bay for the next trip out on Skua

Tis all a bit of craic.... and adds a new dimension. I don't think I would be doing it every day out though!

great video, nice advert for a go on the selfdrive boats
Can I ask what size lead you had on the head of the worm, and would that take the worm right to the bottom ?

I would usually use anywhere between 20 and 65 grams depending on conditions.syboit wrote:great video, nice advert for a go on the selfdrive boats

That day I was using 45gr in most cases. I use the least weight possible that I can still keep in contact with the bottom.
In less depth of water I would be using 10-30gr. That is using very thin braid.
