I hope your use of the word trawler is just misused

It is illegal to to hire out a boat in Ireland unless it has a Department of Transport passenger license or exemption from same, so if this is actually a trawler operating as an unlicensed passenger boat then if I were you my first stop would be the Garda station in Kilmore Quay to report the unlicensed operator as you will not be covered by any insurance and it may have little if any safety equipment   If in any doubt don't put a foot on-board it until you see a current passenger license and satisfy yourself the vessels insurance and plying limits are all in order... remember what happened to the "Pieces" not too far away from there :!:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I'm sorry thought I was helping you out as it sounds very like you're being conned out of money by an unlicensed which would also mean uninsured, unsafe operator in his "trawler" who offers "half day" wreck trips  :D
