Bait: limpet and flys
Results: Countless shannys and a single scorpion fish
Report: Went out to try catch some pollack on the fly no real joy there wind made casting difficult. Decided to hit the rockpool to get some mini species on the fly. Didnt get any on the fly was but the min we put some limpet on the hook it was frantic fishing. Eric got the scorpion fish. loads of fish in the pool if you want to get some mini species. Moved to whiterock to try get some flatties on the fly but didnt last long.

They are not too sharp you would have to give them a good squeeze for the spikes to dig in also they are fairly placid out of the water dont flap about too much. And they are harmless according to fishbase.

the local scorpion fish are harmless, unless you get spined by them, but its non toxic.. just be sure you know what a weaver looks like..
there are two species of weaver off our coastline, the lesser which frequents clean beaches and in fairly shallow waters and the greater which will be found in deeper waters..
knowing what they are and look like can save a lot of agony or a trip to the hospital or GP..
