I dont think this is the place to be messing about with a portable boat. At least not before some pre-assesment is made and even then a degree of caution should be excercised.

When the estuary is emptying or filling the flow can be really powerful especially around spring tides.

Definite species - smoothound, tope, ray, bass and seatrout.

Don't worry guys, I'm cautious by nature...... :roll: . I would guess that during the main tide flows your don't want to be in the channels.....

During the start of the ebb or flood, you could get close to the channels and maybe get a bit of fishing in. Don't worry guys, this will only be attempted in ideal conditions and I will make sure I get a recce or 7 in first.

I will also be taking someone who knows the area as weel, so Jonathan, I will be lokoing for Ballast for sure. :wink:
