Spurred on by JohnBoys report the other day we fished around the same spot. Had a great afternoon with the kids. Taking his advice i used straight mackeral for the bigger fish around 80-90 yards - the smaller fish took the rag/mack mix. What a lovely place to fish. Had a gulley in front then a sand bar then then open water. All smaller fish came from gulley, but would expect bigger fish to have moved in with the tide.
All fish in great condition for April. Will be back!:

Species list 2007. dogfish,flounder, dab, conger,turbot,brill,pollock,coalfish,rockling,whiting.Thornback ray.Bass, Sea trout,Plaice.Mackerel,weeverfish.grey gurnard. tub gurnard ,red gurnard,ballen wrasse, corkwing wrasse goldsinny wrasse.garfish.Poor cod.Bull Huss.scad,pouting,torsk.

Hi Jonboy, nice to see Donegal fishing well ,been out over easter here in kerry had a few fish nothing great,have cousins fron Clonmany havnt seen them for years ,Downeys do you know them I used to be there a lot when i was a kid ,remember a beach just a short walk from were they lived is that Tullagh ? anyway good luck nice fishing
