COD OR codling

was just wondering whats the difference.is it the size or weight that makes them one or the other ?? just wanted to ask this silly little question for ages :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:

they say anything under 6lb is a codling and anything over is a cod !!
species '09 - (42)

specimens 09 - twait shad 1.22kg , 3 beard rockling 2lb 6oz , whiting 3lb .

Same species which is why i keep saying i've caught 3 cod this year! No need for people to be picky. :lol: :?

Had this question asked of me a while back and I told him it was a cross between a cod and a ling. :D :twisted:
