boat angling
thinking of getting into boat angling, anyone have any advice on some gear that wont break the bank.
starting out
lots of people spend way too much, you should be able to get a perfectly servicable rod/reel for £50 ish i have about 4 rods and reels and dont think i paid over £35 for any item.
i really do not see the point in spending big money unless its for beach casting and you are seriously good at casting.
OKUMA do reels at less than £30 (catalina and diezel range) and RON THOMPSON has boat rods for as little as £11!
although ia better deal is usually to buy a package such as the MUSTAD (viking) package at between £65 and £85 depending on spec
