Report:
the weather was good so I headed to Red Bay on Sunday afternoon in the hope of a cod or two. Regardless, after my 2 blanks last weekend I was determined to catch some fish!
things started off slow with a few tiny bites that resulted in a pin-cod and a palm sized dab.
into darkness saw the best activity when the two rods started nodding away steadily. i kept getting constant decent bangs on both rods but the fish just weren't being readily hooked. got a good few in the end tho with most fish consisting of very silvery pollack averaging about 3/4 of a pound. first pic
best fish was a coley that was in and around the 2lb mark, it was a sturdy decent wee fish. last pic
invested in a pair of fingerless neoprene gloves for the first time and can say that they worked brilliantly

all in all it was an ok session. was hoping for a couple of decent codling but content in the end with just getting something. maybe caught about a dozen fish or more in the end
