any of my marks are atleast an hour and half from home which eats atleast €30 for fuel only and that would be the very closest one, at the last time I fished for eels, it took me €55 fuel costs only, so can you imagine how much money you have to have to fish when you like?
The price of fuel made a big impact to our fishing limits, well not for everyone, but who lives far from the sea like me, it is a tough time to have a good session in the good mark
Spesies 2012/ flounder, turbot, colie, whiting, thornback ray, dogfish, pollack, ballan wrasse, corcwing wrasse, dab, cod, sea trout, mackerel, smooth hound

Try living in the midlands! I've only been to the coast 3 times all year and looks like being it. Lucky to have lots of lakes around me so I am a land-lubber again. Fuel costs are restricting my Sea-fishing bigtime.
Species 2011: Mackerel, Sandeel, Cod, Coley, Pouting, Ling, Pollock, Cuckoo Wrasse, Red Gurnard, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Poor Cod.

Species 2012: Mackerel, Pollock, Coley, Pouting

Grady theres a shore club starting up in Dundalk which wouldnt be too far away from you. See the clubs and competitions section. They will be carpooling to venues down south. Its the only way to go.
