Report:We headed off today with a couple of targets on the cards, first on the wish list was tope and the other was plaice. after bagging a dozen macks for fresh bait we set about looking for the big lads but i dont think they knew we were looking for them

The tope were not playing ball, but with the small rods out we did manage to keep very busy with a nice mix of species, including a few scad plenty of small huss to 6lb some nice grey gurnards over a pound and a few whiting over the magical 30cm mark and plenty more mackeral and dogs.after a our fill of this we decided to go after target number two.,
so we headed for a mark that we have not fished in some time because we taught all the Plaice were living on the turbot bank in cork

but as if someone hit a switch they went and the plaice and some small dabs appeared first one up was a 36cm cracker to harry,s delight

We will be back.
