Re: 7ht mag vs abu 6500 converted
the only person i have seen using one is yourself paddy. I use a 7ht turbo magged for the 175g only because of the amount of line on it. I have never cast those 6600w fella's, might start saving for one of those bad boys.

6600w holds the same amount of line as a 6500 .

Re: 7ht mag vs abu 6500 converted
ive tried them and found none , the spool is wider but has a smaller diameter than a 6500 spool , they both empty quickly when using .35mm line . the red daiwa seems popular enough for 175 work , but so does the 6600w , its what ever you feel right for the job

Yes what I found when I had my 6600w for 175g even though it holds the same as a 6500, like you say because it has a lower diameter spool, I was able to overfill it and still get a good grip on the spool, more than I could with a 6500, which seems to be practically empty on 0.35mm with anything over 230m.AG wrote:ive tried them and found none , the spool is wider but has a smaller diameter than a 6500 spool , they both empty quickly when using .35mm line . the red daiwa seems popular enough for 175 work , but so does the 6600w , its what ever you feel right for the job
You have a 6500w though don't you AG? Seem to be pretty rare to find.
