Had a call this morning about a guy whos' lure got caught in 16 feet of water yet he could see the leader - they promptly discovered 2.5 miles of net ACTIVELY fishing.....

Jim, great news that the net was detected but very depressing to think nets of that lenght are being used to decimate stocks.
Is there any more info on this, east coast or south, was the net recovered, was anybody even caught

Well at least the net was destroyed ( I hope ) but discraseful to see.....

the same thing is going on in east cork big trawlers netting along the shore,i heard one boat had over 10 boxes of bass for a week last winter,,,,true or false i don't know maybe hear say?
