Good fishing there lads, always good to get a wee Saturday night out...
cheers drew. yeah it was a bit of a miss match,, a very one sided fight

thankfully UFC 122 on sunday night was much better
saving private brian wrote:atleast ye got fish all.i didnt get a thing all weekend.the flounders on that beach r very dark coloured, the 1 in the 3rd pic is a fine flounder by the looks of it.well done to ye all.nice to get out and have company
cheers brian. i was reading about all your recent disasters man

. boy your getting it tough man. very dark flounder alright, but not that big..... just perspective with the camera

that's why i photograph all the decent fish on the measure. a fish held at arms length towards the camera looks twice as big as it really is

. seems to be the favourite pose for a lot of the angling mags with wildly exaggerated weights
no problem dan, your always more than welcome man
cheers tom. at first i was'nt too impressed with the session,,,, but after reading a few of the other lads reports from the weekend i reckon we did well enough
razor2 wrote:thats some amount of fish for few hours

thanks man
Conger wrote:Well done Al, some amount of fish, fished a pier last year and like that we were mangled by pin whiting, could not get beyond them
Regards
cheers conger. even when we dropped down to size 4 hooks the wee whiting still managed to rob all the bait off the hooks

. i think next time i'll just let them stay on the hooks and do a bit of live baiting for something bigger
gfkelly1969 wrote:well done lads lovely session, great report al

FisherKing wrote:Nice one lads, keeep them comming!!! Cant wait to get out soon myself & wet a line

cheers brian. it's just a matter of waiting for a break in the weather now to get out
RockHunter wrote:Al and Jordan wrote:but by 7pm we decided to call it a day
7 pm ???? I was expecting 7 am at least or maybe 7 pm the following day - but at least you have fair few fish for the time fishing.
Al and Jordan wrote:we got set up and were fishing for 3pm but the bites did'nt begin until we began to lose the light after 4.30pm. so it looks like it's time to wait until dusk
I have more or less given up on beach fishing in daylight - maybe get set up in daylight but I dont expect much until dusk. Although I guess there are certain beaches that will produce fish in daylight (particularly those near estuaries) but in general dusk seems to bring them in.

just a short one this time

. back to vampire fishing man
