It's always good to get out for a couple of hours of peace and quiet and it's even better when you catch a few fish for your efforts. At least there was no weed about to annoy you this time. By the sounds of things and from what you say about what the conditions where like at the beach where you had originally intended on fishing you made the right move by changing venues and going to the pier instead where it was more sheltered away from the wind and calmer. Great report and pictures.
