Headed out for a few casts on Friday as conditions were perfect were a spot of spinning, got to the mark & set up within twenty minutes. After a couple of casts hooked & landed some nice Pollock to 4 lb

Decided to try for a few Wrasse as I wanted to give a new spot a go that I thought looked good. Got to the mark & baited up with Limpets, dropped down along the edge of the rock & from the first drop was into a fine Ballan of 4 lb
The tide was on the flood so I moved to my favourite spinning mark to see if any Pollock were about & first cast was into a small one followed by one to 3lb. Next cast I got a strange take on the spinner which I thought was a Garfish at first as I had seen one chase the spinner near the surface earlier, but I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got it to the surface a Flipping John Dory
Little did I think when I was reading Als report a few days ago & seeing the one he caught & that I was going to get one, what’s the chances
