I do realise a few things
Anglers may not be looking for baitfish
The type of angling activity might be conducted at the wrong time to see baitfish
It may not be physically possible to see the buggers
Some angling activity is more conducive to spotting 'baitfish' than others
One question though - if you do happen to see 'baitfish' in the water what do you generally do?

I dont know if it is any use to the poll, but I have had shoals of smaller sandeels follow my storm sandeel right to my feet at a certain location on several occasions. They didnt seem too bothered with my movements in the water, as soon as it left the water they would disperse.

I noticed the water in Bangor marina last night was alive with the wee buggers, couldn't make out what they were but there were hundreds of wee 3" long silver boyos darting around on the surface under the shine of the nearest ship's light.

Hi .I was out one night ,a good few years as i looked at the surf it was GLOWING green .Other lads gave me a story about something i cant recall .The Fishing was bad the same night.But alot of action in the water that night with mac .Any know what it was ?Id love to know
