Report:
Had this day planned all week hit kilcoole at a mark giving to me and fish for Bass(NOT) caught 2 santa sackfuls of weed from 2 casts  .So i decided best thing was to get the hell out of dodge and find somewhere else to fish ,which is why i ended up in Greystones north beach ,the 2nd leg of my Wicklow tour.Quickly set up 2 rods and tried not to stray too far from the walkway as i noticed the beach was beginning to get swallowed by the Sea ,Couple of lads to my left soon began the evacuation.Anyway caught a nice coalie in Greystones, made a quick call to the Coyser 8) to confirm the tide times 7pm now and theres nearly no beach left with another 4 hours of the flood left :o So decided to take a rain cheque here too  and last but not least(LAST CHANCE SALOON) Bray harbour ,Nothing much to report except for about 12 doggies in 2 1/2 hours with recycled (regurged) baits :D i,ll save the peelers for another day. This saved the blushes for me ,Nothing like a bit of Doggie bashing to pass the time, sure its fishing at the end of the day.An Eventful day to say the least and also got the pleasure to meet Roger de Dodger.Ps did anybody get stuck on Greystone north beach tonight as i could still see lights to my left, hope ya s got home alright.Serious High tide this evening possibly biggest of the year so far.
Ah well no doubt ill be back out midweek fishing :D Picture of coalie to follow think he was about 30 cm mark?
Thx for reading
Jay

You can stop worrying about me Jay, I,,,like private Ryan, made it off the beach last night   . Serious tide alright
  , I was the light to your left. I got a couple of whiting for the trouble. Last few casts ,I got into decent fish, but they went to ground, nodding ,and i couldnt shift them, had to pull for a break  . This happened last 3 casts, and up to that point i had no trouble retrieving the rigs   .I just made it up off the beach, i was watching your lights all evening, then all of a sudden when i looked ,yis were gone, so i legged it down just in time, before i got cut off, and it was still only about 8-15pm?? approx.

Glad you made it home and (dry) private reilly,Had the same experience with the big bite and then fish to ground last night,Has to be 1 big Conger patrolling or numerous possibly.Tried to grab your attention about the high water flooding in but you were too busy caught up catching all those whiting :P The Coyser caught a nice codling on north beach a few weeks back with fresh teeth marks punctured in the codlings sides,??
