cheers berty. i've been hearing lots of good reports coming down from benone over the last few weeks

. might have to orginize a wee run up soon
doggie3131 wrote:so the longliner gets comfortable, still i suppose you do get tired reeling in a rig like that

see it was a draw with ten fish each!

hope he gets his plaice soon!

the longline has been put away for the moment noel

it's rediculous just how much bait jordan gets through fishing that thing

hopefullyhis plaice will come a bit easier than the turbot

and yeah,,, 10 each in the end. but he was up 10 to 6 until my last 2 casts at distance which came back with 2 fish on each rig
FisherKing wrote:Good session lads well done

cheers FK. just hope the bigger flats start to make an appearance soon
thanks don. it was unbelieveably calm and mild that night, so i thought we'd better make the best of it as the rest of the week had a stinking forecast.

looks like we're back to usual winter weather
big bryan wrote:well done al another great nights fishing...

cheers bryan. have you been getting out much yourself lately?
zeke wrote:well done lads, nice flats you got there....
my fishing session will not complete with out a bag of chocolate and a bottle of coke to keep me warm and active

sounds like you and jordan are singing off the same hymn sheet zeke

. but at this time of year the lemonade and chocolate gets put away and the flasks of soup and stew come out
bokofinn wrote:well done lads , great to see you have the wee man well trained up , hopefully i`ll get my own wee man out like yourself`s i`d be as proud as punch . great fishing lad .

thanks man. as soon as he's old enough get a rod into his hands man. once he's got a few fish he'll be hooked for life and you'll have the best excuse in the world for getting out for regular sessions

you'll just have to eat some humble pie like myself everytime he gets more fish than you
rodbender wrote:Well done lads, have been thinking about a throw there this week . No point in fishin in discomfort.

cheers ivan. the forecast has been a bit grim this week

hopefully it will clear up a bit for our club comp at portrush this weekend

i'll give you a call at the weekend to see if you fancy a chuck during next week somewhere
round_ourway wrote:I tried to get away fishing on halloween night but there was no mission of it. we were up there last thursday. plenty of whiting about and a couple of dogs. cracking report al. you heading up to portrush comp on saturday sir
cheers stevie. yes man, we're gonna make it for the comp

. are you and fra heading up?
Fentster wrote:Nice session guys, you were kept busy enough

. Some nice flatties there, must get myself a few of those

thanks fenton. me and dawsey were thinking about trying a few flattie marks inside strangford lough in the coming weeks

. i'll drop you a PM nearer the time to see if you fancy a run out. dawsey has been chatting to a few people who have told him there are some decent flounder to be had if you're willing to brave this awful weather

. if a few of us try some marks togeather it's gotta boost the chances of not blanking at these untested marks
crazyfish1983 wrote:Some session there al as usual (can you spot the jealousy??). Good pics as well!
cheers mate. believe it or not that spot fished pretty poorly compared with this time last year

. but like i said the beach was all but featureless. no high sand bars or deep gullys to talk of. we'll just have to scout the beach out at the next set of low spring tides to see where the fish holding features have moved to

.
eyesreilly wrote:Nice session Al, you cant beat a bag of munchies

.
thanks dave. things are starting to get a bit chilly now, so the homemade stew and soup will be coming out with us from now on
thelegend wrote:good session lads, lovely flounders ,codling nice too well done

cheers man. the biggest we've had off that beach was the 1lb 8oz flounder i got last year. but there are bigger ones down there. saw a pic of a 2lb plaice taken there a few weeks back

. it's nose and tail was hanging off the top of the guy's tackle box.

so there's hope yet
aaronjunited wrote:Brilliant session lads. Nice going Al. It was strangely calm and mild on saturday, just brilliant for the beach.
Hope to get out soon with ya's.
cheers aaron. no probs man. i saved your mob num so i'll give you a call the next time we're headed out your way man. we'll have to get you a few more species than just the mackies
gfkelly1969 wrote:well done al and jordan lovely session, great photos
