As the girlfriends sister and husband were visiting i thought i would introduced him ( Rupert) to sea fishing he is a mad keen coarse and trut fisherman at home in austria but has never tried sea fishing.
The weekend started well the first fish went to him a small coalfish that was the most amazing colour it was bright orange ( sadly no photos of day one as the camera thought it was a fish and went for a swim ), next up he caught two ollack not big by any means both weight just under one pound, so at this atage the pressure was on as i was three fish down eventually i hooked into a nice pollack who weighted just under one pound, by this stage he had caught two more pollack but i then showed him up by reeling in the biggest of the day at just under 2 pounds
the weather wasnt great but we fished through and it ended up being a good day.

Luckily we headed to mizen head to the lighthouse and a few other senic sights, the girs were delighted with this no fishing lark myself and rupert were less impressed
Great weekend though and a new species, looking forward to the return in Austria in July
