bet those knees hurt this morning!!
no kidding man, you'd think someone had taken a cheese grater to em
yeah, i mentioned that to eyesreilley when we were in wicklow that the dogs up this way all seem to be almost black

. they must be living over more rock and kelp than sand and it makes for better camo i suppose.
Dawsey wrote:Awesome days fishing lads. Looks like a great wee spot, looking forward to giving it a go for a the odd dog and chance of a huss

Jordan lad you did well again.
Nice looking huss minty, tis a good'un.
cracking spot dawsey, i'll have to get you up to it and get you into contact with a dog and huss mate
spindlefist wrote:great fishing there and well done on the Huss Jordan..
cheers man he was made up getting one
rab01 wrote:Nice fishing again lads. Wish I could get out as often as you's.
one of the advantages of being the one who makes the work rota

i always check the tides and forecasts before sorting out what nights i work
boyler wrote:Well done lads, that sounds like a cracking session and plenty of fish caught.

And well done on the Huss minty thats a belter

Paddy
cheers paddy, minty's huss was a big lump of a fish. there were better photos of it but i could'nt post them as they had a few features in the backround that would have given the mark away
minty wrote:well Al great report as usual mate, dont think i need to post one as i think you have everthing covered.
Landing the Huss

was the hi-lite of the night for me but i have to say it was some wee spot you found there.
I'd deffo fish there again

in the hope of catching more huss.... but think i'll bring a different reel

.
i have to say it makes a change to be happy to be in the dog house
i'm just gutted i caught the bulk of my fish before 7pm

but it was great craic watching your reel scream for mercy getting the big lad through the kelp

. we're going back down there on friday evening for a session with dawsey, you're more than welcome man if you're free

(i think jordan wants your huss

)
saltydog wrote:That's a serious session 12:00-00:00 Respect due.... unfortunate with the fall Al at least no bones broken.... well done Jordan and Minty on the Huss and the placings in the comp

cheers conor, the fall was bound to happen at some stage with the ammount of time we spend fishing

all the guys i've talked to who have been fishing a few years all have a story about a bad fall they've had at some stage, i suppose it's a rite of passage as a sea angler to have the odd fall.

but at least it was only a flesh wound
the-ghost wrote:quality lads!!!

cheers ghost. i saw a bunch of lads fishing garron point on monday, was that any of your lads?. if so how did they get on?
gfkelly1969 wrote:great report as usual, and great fishing too,bet ye slept well after that session.
looking forward to the videos

cheers mate. between photography and videoing jordan's catches i'll have to get out on my own again soon to get some fishing done myself
Thorniefish wrote:quality report lads. brilliant session lads. great to see a huss lifted as well.
from losing flasks to a visual migraine, I had to call it a day early. well done boys. thats a cracking huss.
cheers stevie. sorry to hear you had to leave the comp with a migraine. fra ended up fishing beside the guy who won the biggest fish pool with a 60cm pollack
AndrewF33 wrote:Did yous loose much gear on the mark ?
loads man. if you did'nt get a fish you lost your hook or lead. or lost the hook lead and fish

. but that's where the fish were. you just had to take the tackle loss on the chin, re rig and cast back out again

. i'd say that for every fish that was landed one was lost to the kelp. and that was with reels loaded with 50lb braid

but with fishing like that it's an acceptable loss to take
Ronald wrote:Fantastic session there Al, well done on getting the huss for Jordan and minty as well, just makes me want to go fishing even more now seeing the sessions you guys have been getting lately. I might head north myself at the end of the week and try a wee spot for them.
cheers ronald, we're going back up on friday to that mark if you want to get a run out with us mate. we'll be leaving after 3pm when jordan gets out of school. there's plenty of room in the car if you need a lift

. drop me a text and let me know how you're fixed. it would be nice to return the favour seeing as you put us onto some excellent marks last year man
right, here goes. i'll try to post the video here and there was a picture i forgot to post with the initail report of jordan's big doggie
