I wouldn't mate.
You need the internal workings to be completely enclosed.
Preventing corrosion and even sand from getting in there.

Type one of the following into yahoo/google
+"fly reel" +saltwater
Or

You should find something.
I do find it helps if you also add
+UK

Words in inverted commas means you want to match that fraise exactly.
