Report:Went to Greystones with some leftover bait from friday in Wicklow harbour. Got dropped off by the missus with a promise to collect me in a few hours so i made my way down to the rocks. Could see a few guys fishing at the steps but i was surprised that there wasnt anyone at the rocks. I got set up at the lower level of the rocks as the tide was out and wasnt too breezy, but the wind started to pick up and after a while i had to move some of the gear higher up. I got a flounder on the top hook of a 3 hook flapper, and he took it as i retrieved the bait(couple of lug ) slowly in. I was delighted with him and took a pic and put him back in. As it got dark i lit my lamp, ignition unit is perished so it took me a few attempts to light it,,,, 4 matches actually

.The wind was increasing at this stage and was blowing at me from the direction of the steps across the cove, south east. I managed another flounder and a whiting but by this stage i had moved all the gear up and i was spending more time watching that my lamp wouldnt blow over and break, so i decided to pack up. It didnt help that my nerves were shattered from seeing our not so little furry friends darting about every few minutes,,,i'm not saying they were there,,just that i kept seeing them

,,where the hell was that nuisance of a dog thats usually there when i needed him. It was blowing a gale, wet, rats scurrying about,,,,,dont you just love fishing

Missus turned up to collect me "Have a good time?",,,,,,,,,,"Brilliant",says I

Funny thing is that i cant wait to go again
