To hear those two guys moaning made me laugh, they seem to be only worried about today and not the future...get on with it!!!
They are getting the ears of the public and the polticains though as well as the news media.....I hope the Welsh anglers are doing the same...Good on the Welsh anglers for getting these guys stopped in the first place.....we should all take a leaf out of their book IMHO

Just had a look at the video report and though that it was very biased towards the trawlers... I mean, how much can be made catching flounder for Pot bait :?:
It just goes to show the thinking though..... The laws have been in place for 16 years and they have just ignored them.
Trawler men have to make make money, and to do so they need to catch a significant amount of fish. If left to their own devices they will continue to do this by any means possible until their is nothing left to sustain their business..... only then will they stop.... Time to try make our voices heard. Maybe we should start trying to get similar bylaws for estuaries here. :?: There are nursary areas for fish and should be left alone by nets.... They are also easier to police.
