Clogherhead/ co louth
I was thinking of giving this place a go early march anyone fishing that area? any advice on tackle locations etc appreciated..Lazy

I live there.
TBH early march will be slow. If I had too, I would park at the first bend on the harbour road from the village walk down the field to the right of the gateway, at the bottom of the field is a wee sewage works. Try here for flounders. Very snaggy close in though. Alternativly walk to your left to the head,itself. Fish off the rocks here onto clean sand, for dabs, small whiting, pollack, codling and occ plaice. Again very snaggy for 20 meters out.
A far better option is to wait until after the end of March, when the harbour reopens to the public after 2 years of closure for redevelopment. It's completely changed, so with no walking and the chance to fish from a brand new pier, I'd wait until then if I was you.
