At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

13 foot rod. rated as 4-7oz. best suited to low mounted reel and slow relaxed casts. a stiff, through actioned rod from butt to tip. this is a good casting rod and is capable of putting a plain lead around the 200yard mark with a reel tuned for fishing. the tip will not fold in a strong tide and shows small bites well at range. i have been using this rod the last couple of years and i cannot think of one time where it let me down. it has the guts to fish rough/ mixed ground and can cast a 6oz. into the a strong wind. a rod that does the job very well and is reasonable priced.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC
