Duration:10pm-2am

Tide:low to3\4

Weather:clear no wind not even cold

Bait:lug

Rigs:4\0 pully piggyback and 1\0 3 hook flapper

Results:4 flounder 1 codling 1lb 1 wow wow 4lb ish and so many whiting i stopped counting after 15 all small exept one 34

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:one of those nights no mater how far in or out i cast the whiting were rattling to rod before it got into the rest . thank god for the doggie to bend my rod once

good result roger.

that sounds like a cracking dogfish considering the record is 4lb 4oz 4lb ish is not to be sniffed at a specimen is only 3 and a quarter pound..
hope you had the camera :wink:

yes i did took it with me but didnt think the doggie was worth a photo i have never looked up the specimum weight for one i think they are an under rated catch some nights down bray i have taken loads 11 in one 2 hour session last year they are fun on a 3lb test pike rod thank god the days of seeing them left on the beach to rot seem to be gone

yes i have only ever landed doggies of the beach i managed i bullhuss out of the boat 2 years ago i have tried for smooth hound but never had any luck one of my mates landed a good stary when we where bass fishing near dunlaire at least 10lb er he was gutted thinking he had a 15 or 16 lb bass on !!!!!!!!!!!

the way the fishing is treating me this weather a blenny would be a celebration - in fact i think i will just go rooting around in the kelp beds with a pair of gloves :lol:
