What do you use is it 3 hook flappers or what ?????????
What hook size and snood line , lenght , weight ie rolling or griped.

I would rate bait higher than rigs when scratching. Its fine if you have 30lb main body 10lb fluo carbon snoods, size four hooks, but if you have the wrong, or bad quality bait you will catch nothing(or very little).
As for rigs just experiment using lighter snoods, mainbodies, smaller swivels and hooks, different shape leads and see what catchs for you.

Estuary Lad has it bang on....aint no point of dropping hook, snood strength or mainbody if your just going to put boiled mussel on your hook :?

as mark says try everything mate ,combinations of bait ,different rigs and snood length and most of all very light snoods maybe down to 6/8lb.with 30lb .rig body all from flouro carbon and small hooks down to size 4/6 depending on size of fish at the time.these rigs are for fishing close in and NOT FOR POWER CASTING.cheers john
