try google earth pookie...has every shoreline in the world... just google it

yes tried but not every were covered.

and can get more info from a good old fashioned photo

i know most major towns and cities have photos when zoomed in i.e. galway, waterford, etc etc...
not too sure about the north but dont see why not... :wink:

google maps maybe? not great quality but there are some satellite images

Not sure about the north, but here in Donegal I use the Donegal county council planning map, great satellite pictures of the whole coast around Donegal, its that good, you can pick out the sandy areas around some rock marks, excellent quality.
