Cork Beach- Saturday

#1 Post by pete »

People:Me and one other

Duration: 8.20pm to 12.30am

Tide:Filling

Weather: Calm as night went on, clear skies

Bait:Fresh crab, lugworm

Rigs: 2 hook flappers

Results: 6 coalfish, 6 codling and 1 flounder

Catch and Release:Kept 3 codling

Report: Great introduction to shore fishing in Cork. I don't want to name the venue as the lad that showed me asked me to keep it stum.

It was all coalies to start, but they were good ones at 32 to 40cm. Picked up a nice flounder of a pound before the codling came on. Once they did I took two double shots, smallest fish was 1/2lb whilst biggest was 2 1/4lb. Best shore fishing I've had in a long time :D In fact I got more codling in one night down here that I've caught in the last three years :!:

:D Great fishing...

Make up the spare bed Pete!!
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!
