north antrim coast brownsbay painted rock

#1 Post by alannelson »

People:me and sam

Duration:1600/2000

Tide:incoming

Weather:head on strong breeze uncomfortable fishing

Baitlug worm mackerel:

Rigs:pennel

Results:3 beared rockling codling pouting

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:First trip of the year was dying to wet a line decided to just fish near home at Brownsbay. What a nightmare we were mucked up to are eyeballs getting there especially with all the gear we carry for the session. Started of slow then picked up a bit Sam caught a codling, I caught 3 rockling 2 of which were of very good size and both caught on the pennel rig at the same time and a pouting and a codling not great but at least I avoided my first blank of the year. It was fun walking back to the car through the cow ploughed fields which were water logged and up to are knees in **it! Sam must have fallen about 12 times but he had a few beers in him so this could attributed to him falling.
