My old rod that i used was not for saltwater and suffered some abuse and I only just saw that the tip got broken off by a door :evil: . And I am now in the market for a new rod. Looking at the scierra bluewater which looks good http://www.fishingmegastore.com/acatalo ... ra_51.html.
This would be about the top of my budget any other rods to recommend in or around this price range. Thanks.

i'd stick with the 9wt, an 8wt can be pretty tough when its brezzy and with larger flies, also it gives you that little bit extra leverage when a fish dives for the kelp
