New Rod?

My old rod that i used was not for saltwater and suffered some abuse and I only just saw that the tip got broken off by a door

. And I am now in the market for a new rod. Looking at the scierra bluewater which looks good http://www.fishingmegastore.com/acatalo ... ra_51.html.
This would be about the top of my budget any other rods to recommend in or around this price range. Thanks.

Would an 8 weight rod be better than a 9. Not sure what to go for.

i'd stick with the 9wt, an 8wt can be pretty tough when its brezzy and with larger flies, also it gives you that little bit extra leverage when a fish dives for the kelp

Greys GRXi 8/9 its a good buy for the price, can be picked up for around £90 or less, plus a decent warranty on Greys rods.

Don't know if any of the guys have seen or tried the Fox Impressa Bass fly rod 9ft 9wt noticed them on sale for £40.

The greys rod looks tempting and is a good bit cheaper 8/9wt looks the best option. Thanks for the help guys.

i bought the greys rod, havent used it yet mind, looks the part
As does the GRXi reel!
