Saleens...Waterford 30-12-06

People:Myself and my friend came 4 the last hour

Duration:4 hourrs

Tide:on its way in

Weather: very windy, cleared up nicely though

Bait:Fresh and frozen lug

Rigs:1 hook clipped down

Results:3 coalies 1 flounder

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:Had some lug left over from the last time i was fishing said id use them up got 2 coalies on the fresh lug and a coalie and flounder on the frozen ones, the biggest coalie was round a pound and a half, flounder was very small. Oh ye found a dead blue shark washed up on the beach when i was walking back 2 the car round 3 or 4 ft long!

We had a luck 2 c if there were any net marks cudnt see any thou didnt seem 2 b damaged at all was gone a bit moldy i say it was on the beach a while!

wow!!! so what the chances of blue sharks bein caught from tramore area from shore then???

Id love 2 know if u cud get them from the shore wud be sum hell of a fight i say they only get them out in the boats in the bay! anybody ever here of any1 catchin 1 from the shore in tramore.

id say theres a good chance of the rocks near metal man(not guillamene)...nice deep water marks and basically untouched..it would take some balls scaling those cliffs tho...mayb brownstown head 2 if u could cast far enough....

Ye sher theres only one way 2 find out, I might have a go with a second rod in the summer when im fishing off brownstown head its worth a go!

well lads meet a chap while putting the boat back on to the trailer in the peir in tramore back in sept,hehad just come from the guillamene and was talking to a group of people who where fishing for mackerel at the guillamene and a blue was seening just out off the rocks.
