when do fresh water eals come down stream

theres a estury near were i work and as i do f all anyway was thinking of going fishing while i work for ells i work nights btw

Allways thought the main time they headed out to sea was Sept, but i hear they can be about at anytime and some of them just stay in the sea all their lives.

once freshwater eels reach sexual maturity then return to the Sargasso sea to mate. These eels spend most of their lives in freshwater, but around estuary mouths they are know to move from sea to fresh water in search of food
