Can you ID this

Found this on the beach a while back. Sorry about the poor pics but the kids broke it before I could get any more.
It looked like a small brain and was made from a very thin shell.
What is it?

The shell of a sea potato/heart urchin (Echinocardium cordatum)
A member ot the sea urchin family.

loads of those sea urchins were thrown up in silver strand after the heavy weather of the past few weeks
