A good tourment caster will put a lead 150mts with a brush handle.

A good tradesman will never blame this tools.

The reducers is used when you are casting down the but remove it when casting, use it when retreiving.

depending on the ground u want to fish etc, there is so much out there, plus you dont necessarily need a tournament rod to get good distance.
some daiwa rods, greys, conoflex, zziplex , century etc etc are all known to be capable rods of big distances in the right hands
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!

i would certainly go for a zziplex xtr sport, or slightly softer xtr 50/50
superb rods slim, light , and loads of power,

Cono-flex anubis 6oz, 14ft, stiff, 28m butt, a great rock rod thats
capable of massive distances with a nice tip, just my opinion.
Reducers- if you really like a rod but its a little thick in the butt you can mount your reel on the reducer and cast with it in that position, i recently tried this on my Anubis Tournament and no problems, other wise the reducer is only there to aid retriveing if reel is in the low position.
