After "jumping the gun" last month and mistakenly referring to the old series, I've double checked my dates this time and also his website. Starts Friday Jan 5 2007 on discovery realtime.

Henry Gilbey, one of television's most energetic and enthusiastic fishing presenters is back for a brand new second series of Wild Fishing. Armed with his robust and excitable persona, Henry leaves his comfort zone behind and heads to the remoteness of artic Norway, a thriving location for UK sea anglers.

He also travels to some wild and deserted beaches in Mozambique and closer to home, Henry challenges himself with the gentle art of fly fishing in the West Country and in Ireland he fishes the rugged western shores, proving that its deserted coastline offers some of the finest and most unspoilt shore fishing in Europe.

Episode guide

* Norway
With temperatures just above freezing, Henry and fellow sea angler Rob Yorke travel to Bodo in Norway, where they secure monster cod and coalfish.
* Mozambique
Expert angler Henry Gilbey travels to the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique with companion Del Thompson, where they land giant trevally and bonefish.
* County Kerry, Ireland
On the stunning Kerry Peninsula, Henry and his old mate Martin Larkin set up for bait fishing from the cliffs for the bold, bright Ballan wrasse.
* West Country
Leaving the seawater behind, Henry heads inland to fly-fish his local west country rivers and lakes, where he catches rainbow trout and grayling.
* County Clare, Ireland
Ireland's deserted coastlines tend to offer the roving angler a fascinating mix of outstanding shore fishing, and in this episode, Henry travels to the rugged west coast of County Clare.

The Great rod race is good , its differnt cos they can choose what to take and what to leave behind

I'm with you on the 4th Midget...... But the second????? :?: :shock: :shock:

If it wasn't for the crazy roads or lack of them and the need for the very odd bribe for the police when they stop you for no reason, I would be given this place some serious thought. The Shore fishing is Unreal in places and there is also some blue water fishing less that 30 miles from the shore. Woth a look for a guided fishing holiday as there is still some value to be had.
