24/12/06 strangford pier

Duration:3 hours

Tide:tide coming in

Weather:dry and a bit windy

Bait:ragworm and marckerels[/b]:two hook booms

Results: i doggy

Catch and Release:: Yes


Report:

very slow here got one :) before i packed up had to use grip weight cause of the strong tide put out a plain weight and didnt hold bottom :( never fished here before was thinking of going over to portaferry to fish but throught i try here.
i would need more information on this pier if any one can help me out here :?:

i am sure some one will help you out liam i would try it close in to the pier liam most of the time the fish are at your feet

Cast around half way to the Island mate, thats where I've seen most fish from, However, Strangford seems to only throw up the odd fish, I much prefer Portaferry.

Think i will have to try Strangford myself sometime, only ever fished the Portaferry side and that is mostly when spinning which can be good crack when the fish are jumping about your feet.. :)

this mark is is better in the summer i think :)
