shads and jelly eels

hey lads
never fished jelly eels r shads before. whats the best way to do it? is it like red gilling? or do u fish them like a set of "feathers"? should i retrive r let the tide do the work? any help would b great

Pollack tend to stack in deep water with the bigger fish on the bottom smaller at the top, the method above allows the jelly worm to get to the bottom by casting out past the fish and then you retrieve very very very slowly so that you have a better chance of getting the big fish at the bottom and you still have the same chance of getting the smaller fish above them (If you miss the big ones). This tends to be a boat fishing tactic but can also be used from the shore in deep water (Haven't actually tried this yet).

The trick here is to lower into the water very slowly (Boat on the drift) to prevent tangles make sure the jelly eel is flowing out from the main line as you lower it. When you hit the bottom retrieve very very slowly.
