Portaferry, Co Down, 23/12/06

#1 Post by Drew »

People: Stevie, Myself

Duration: 3pm - 6pm

Tide: High and Dropping.

Weather: Overcast, No Wind, No Rain, Surprisingly Mild.

Bait: Mack, Sandeel, Squid, Rag

Rigs: 2 Hook Scratchers.

Results: Around 10 Fish, Only 2 of Which were Under 30cm.

Catch and Release:: Yes.

Report: Fished Portaferry Pier today, lots of weed in the water which was a pain, But putting up with it Proved fruitfal with plenty of Brutal bites from the Coalies.

Fish must have followed the bait down on a few occasions as we were setting the Rods Down and Bites were occuring before we got the chance to tighten up.

Stevie has his new Conoflex Source out for the First time and It performed inpecably, with great bite detection, casting power, and lifting power when needed.

Saw a Few of Jonnys Killer Herons which didn't seem to bother us :lol:
