People: me
Duration: 6 - 10pm approx
Tide: HW approx 8pm
Weather:cold, slight showers, no wind
Bait:frozen mack, sandeel and rag
Rigs:one hook clipped, two hook pat.
Results:2 codling, 1 dog, 5 coalies
Catch and Release: yes
Haven't been out for a while but when opportunity arose decided to head for Glenarm. Spotted a couple of boys on the breakwater so headed for the beach and set up in front of the police station - them security lights are great...saves the batteries  .
Fished two rods one setup with a one hook clipped rig that I cast as far as poss with a sandeel and rag wrap and the other with a two hook clipped rig baited with mack and mack and rag cocktail.
Wasn't long to wait before some interest shown on the two hook rig and proceeded to land a small codling approx 8". It had taken the cocktail.
Rebaited and within five minutes had another take - this time approx 12" coalie on the mack only. Had another coalie and several more long casts before a dog took the wrap. Took another few coalies on mack and with the final cast before I packed up had another small codling about the same size as the first.
All of the coalies came on mack only and were apporx 10" to 12". All in all not a bad nights sport and probably one of the betetr nights that I've spent on Glenarm Beach - certainly beat sitting in the house wrapping presents :D .
