Shockleader knot for braid

#1 Post by Liamo »

Lads,

Can someone recommend a shockleader knot for braid PLEASE! Have been using a bimini twist on the braid end, connected to an albright knot on 60lb shockleader but find the braid is cutting through the mono

I ONLY use a uni-knot now.

Melt the end of the shock leader with a lighter - I use one with a filament as you can use it in the wind.

Tie on the braid with a uni knot, pull it all tight and trim off the braid.

60lb leader with 60lb Berkley Whiplash - no probs!
