Surprised**2 "Doggies"

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

After reading good reports about Kiliney decided to give it a go again, I had blanked the last two times I had been here. Weather was much better than I had expected and although the fishing wasn't top class the fact that it was the first time in the last month or so that I haven't been battered by the elements that was cool with me. There wasn't a hugh amount of weed either. Nothing happening for the first couple of hours not even a bite but was enjoying being out and dry so didn't care really.
Finally got a nice little Coalie and then a rockling shortly afterwards. Not sure how many beards the rockling had but he was comfortable with his appearance so who am I to judge. First rockling I have caught for years. Had few little nibbles after this but when the tide went way out and it got dark everyting stopped.
Packed up around 7:30. A great day out though.

Surprised**eh that would be one golden retriever who decided to have the squid on my hook while the owner had me engaged in converstation and one jack russell who managed to get tangled in my line while I was baiting up.

No dogs or fish were harmed during this expedition.

nice collie, how big was the rockling? were abouts on the beach where you fishing. just was there today got a collie aswell and a small plaice, lugs good here but rag reigns supreme. pity about the tide its only good here on the flood its usualy crap on the first 2 hours of the ebb so you did really well to pinch those two out.

Alright Gazo,

Was just at the car park before the tea rooms. Set up here so I could use the "wall" for some shelter if it peed rain. The rockling was about 1lb in weight.
Not too sure who was more surprised by the catch....the fish or me.

Will be going to Kiliney again, very picturesque location.
