Fintragh - 15th November

#1 Post by pete »

Fished a night tide as part of the club winter league. Plenty of coalies in the 27 to 29cm bracket showed in amongst the surf but it was hard to get a counting 30cm fish. Flounders too were fairly abundant but only a soliary dogfish showed which was odd as we had expected a better showing.

Seanibo, fairplay, won it with five counters while I managed third. Nice to see a bit of variety again after the recent flounder dominated outings. Mackerel was top bait outfishing virtually everything else.
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

Cheers pete. Couldnt have done it without my trusty refrozen tesco mackerel! Lovely looking beach, looks very promising!
I require a tremendous amount of calcium
