Where to fish

#1 Post by Big Al »

Anyone?

Getting back into shore fishing, any idea's where to fish on Dublin, Meath or Louth coast this time of year?
Flats or codling would be great.

Thanks in advance

don't know north of Dublin well. you could fish cockle lake near sandymount for flounder at this time of year. next stop up is dun laioghaire. flounder in harbour- but not many. whiting at end with chance of codling. coalies and pout likely. 40foot/ back of bullock harbour worth a shot for codling. sorrento piont/ coliemore harbour- big tide run but some good fishing over neeps. you will get good whiting, odd dab and codling. killiney(see reports), rough ground at shankill sees good codling every year but have not fished for em. bray can see good numbers of mixed species from the beach and pier. odd decent fish can be caught of either coalies or codling. some decent flounder occassionally too. dabs also.
