Trawlers and distance from shore.

Can anyone tell me on how far off shore in N.Ireland a Trawler is by law allowed to come in shore. there must be some directive about it and if they are breaking the law someone you can ring. The report about trawlers working around Blackhead would make it seem that they were to close in, :cry: i always was led to believe that there was a nursery area around the shore for fish. Is there anyone in Authority who can tell me.

As for trawling close to shore, there are no laws governing this.
